No injuries in incident, which caused $50K in damage to one of the units

A Lively high-rise apartment building with 132 units was evacuated Sunday evening after a cooking fire in one of the units.

There were no injuries in the incident, which took place at around 6 p.m. All of the other tenants in the building — which is located on Coronation Boulevard — were allowed back inside once it has been ventilated.

One person was displaced in the incident. Greater Sudbury Fire Services says there was severe fire damage and moderate smoke damage in the unit that was affected, amounting to about $50,000.
