Ward 1 Coun. Mark Signoretti issued a statement on Jan. 22, expressing his condolences to the friends and families of those who have been impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak at Amberwood Suites.
Signoretti's statement is as follows:
As Councillor for Ward 1 in which Amberwood Suites is located, I wish to express my sincere condolences to the family, friends and caregivers who have suffered losses due to the tragic deaths associated with the COVID-19 outbreak at this facility.
Our thoughts and prayers are with them as well as with the residents, staff and their families who are affected by, and continue to cope with this outbreak.
I urge everyone to please follow public health measures to stop the spread of COVID-19 so that no one else has to suffer its impacts.
We must continue to protect each other and end the devastation that this virus is having on our most vulnerable populations.
