Public Health Sudbury and Districts has declared a COVID-19 outbreak at Adamsdale Public School.
There are three confirmed cases in students at the school, and one case in a staff member.
An outbreak in a school is defined as two or more lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases in students or staff (or other visitors) in a school where at least one case could have reasonably acquired their infection in the school.
There are six active COVID-19 outbreaks in area JK-12 schools, and one associated with a school bus.
There are 54 active cases of COVID-19 in area JK-12 schools.
Sudbury Student Services Consortium is also reporting more than 30 active school bus route cancellations related to COVID-19, including 10 reported on Dec. 2 alone.
The cancellations reported Dec. 2 are as follows:
- There has been a COVID-19 exposure on the afternoon intermediate/secondary portion of bus Route L027 - The Route is cancelled and will resume Monday, Dec. 13. The affected school is St. Benedict.
- There has been a COVID-19 exposure on the morning intermediate/secondary portion of bus Route L815 - The Route is cancelled and will resume Monday, Dec. 13. The affected school is St. Benedict.
- There has been a COVID-19 exposure on the afternoon elementary portion of bus Route N435 - The Route is cancelled and will resume Monday, Dec. 13. The affected schools are Valleyview and Lockerby.
- There has been a COVID-19 exposure on the morning elementary portion of bus Route N435 - The Route is cancelled and will resume Monday, Dec. 13. The affected school is Valleyview.
- There has been a COVID-19 exposure on the morning elementary portion of bus Route N434 - The Route is cancelled and will resume Monday, Dec. 13. The affected school is Valleyview.
- There has been a COVID-19 exposure on the afternoon elementary portion of bus Route N403 - The Route is cancelled and will resume Monday, Dec. 13. The affected schools are Valleyview and Lockerby.
- There has been a COVID-19 exposure on the morning elementary portion of bus Route N436 - The Route is cancelled and will resume Monday, Dec. 13. The affected schools are Valleyview, Lockerby and LoEllen.
- There has been a COVID-19 exposure on the morning elementary portion of bus Route L119 - The Route is cancelled and will resume Monday, Dec. 13. The affected schools are Holy Cross and RL Beattie.
- There has been a COVID-19 exposure on the morning elementary portion of bus Route N452 - The Route is cancelled and will resume Monday, Dec. 13. The affected school is Valleyview.
- There has been a COVID-19 exposure on the afternoon elementary portion of bus Route N409 - The Route is cancelled and will resume Monday, Dec. 13. The affected schools are Valleyview, Lockerby and LoEllen.
