Highway 144 was reopened by around 8:30 p.m. Thursday evening after being closed between the Watershed and Highway 101 for more than a day.

The highway was closed Feb. 13 after a propane tanker took the ditch about 30 kilometres south of Highway 101 at around 2 p.m.

The material on the vehicle was offloaded, and the vehicle removed. The driver was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Original story:

A long stretch of Highway 144 has been closed since yesterday afternoon after a propane tanker took the ditch near the Watershed.

The crash happened at 2:05 p.m. on Highway 144 about 30 kilometres south of Highway 101. As a result, the OPP closed that entire section of the road, and has kept it closed since the crash.

It remains unknown how long the highway will be closed. The latest tweet from the OPP suggests the tanker will be removed sometime this morning.

More to come when new information becomes available.
