Freezing rain has made the roads extremely dangerous, police said in a tweet at 7:04 a.m.

Since 7:18 a.m. this morning, GSPS has responded to two separate multi-vehicle collisions and shut down roads for driver safety.

The collisions occurred at Elm Street downtown and another one at Frood Road at the Lasalle Extension.

Emergency crews were at the scene of both collisions, forcing road closures at Frood Road at the Lasalle Extension due to road conditions.

The extent of injuries is unknown.
