A mega teamup among some of big media companies in Canada is reviving the charm of some Canadian classics.

Shows like The Littlest Hobo, Degrassi Junior High, Mr. Dressup, and Are You Afraid of the Dark? that were stuck in an analog limbo will now be available on YouTube's channel encore +.

Gemini award winner Pat Mastroianni, who portrayed the character of Joey Jeremiah on the '90s hit Degrassi, said, "We can’t let Netflix rule everything. By having this channel available to fans, it’s going to be high quality. You get to see my pimples in high definition.”

The teamup saw some companies like Google Canada, Bell Media, BroadbandTV (BBTV), Deluxe Toronto and Telefilm Canada collaborating with the Canada Media Fund to find about 22,000 titles of Canadian content a new digital space.

Since the announcement, some 300 videos have been inducted into the channel. The content ranges from comedies, dramas, documentaries to short films and will be available in French and English.

New content will be added weekly at youtube.com/EncorePlusMedia
