A utility pole fire on Bancroft Drive around 5 p.m. today caused a power outage for around 1,600 Greater Sudbury Utilities customers in the area.
The outage impacted customers from Birmingham east to Moonlight Beach.
On Twitter, GSU said this evening power had been restored to all save fewer than two dozen customers by 6 p.m.
The cause of the outage was equipment failure, GSU confirmed this evening.
