CUPE Local 4705 had their third annual charity golf tournament July 16 at Forest Ridge Golf Course and raised close to $3,500 in support of the Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer.
“Without the support of prize and hole sponsors our tournament would not be a success,” said a media release from CUPE Local 4705.
“We are very grateful for every prize and donation we have received. 100 per cent of the money raised went directly to the NOFCC. We would like to thank our prize sponsors: Nickelbelt Camping, King Sportswear, Belanger Ford, Woodwyant, Toppers Pizza, Tap House Grill, MIC, OMERS, Wacky Wings, Ramkko's, CUPE National, Gloria's restaurant, Part Source, Double Frosted, Stitch Prints, Silver City, Science North, Q92 and Chelmsford Canadian Tire.”
Support from CUPE Ontario, Jubes, Tutor Doctor, Crazy Horse, Sudbury and District Labour Council, City of Greater Sudbury, Greater Sudbury Airport, Greater Sudbury Utilities, Brokerlink, Edward Jones , Crosstown, North Shore Wheel, and CUPE Local 4705 brought the total money raised to $3,390.
“Thank you to everyone who donated to help us raise this,” said the release.
“Lastly, without the help of the CUPE Local 4705 social committee (Joey Ladouceur, Denise Belanger , Brian Garringer, Sarah Timm, Mike Bellerose and Tyler Connolly) this would not have been possible, therefore thank you very much for your hard work.”
