Hunters may apply to the draw using the paper application available with the purchase of a resident deer licence. There are more than 1,300 hunting licence issuers across Ontario. The deadline for the paper application to reach the Ministry of Natural Resources office is 5 pm July 31.

Another way to buy a deer hunting licence and apply for the draw is by calling toll-free at 1-800-288-1155 from a touch-tone phone to the Ministry of Natural Resources electronic licensing line. The line operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week until 11:55 pm July 31.
