Diabetes Canada invites you to drop off well-loved but unwanted clothes at a drive-through drop-off event on May 28.
“As you declutter, get ready to move, renovate or just clean out your closets this spring, you can bring new life to your unwanted clothes by donating them to Diabetes Canada on May 28 at a curbside drive-thru clothing donation event,” the group said in a news release.
The drop-off is being held at the Diabetes Canada Clothing Collection Centre at 2141 Lasalle Blvd from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
Diabetes Canada staff will collect your gently used clothing, textiles and small household items.
Funds raised from the clothing donations are “a crucial source of revenue,” Diabetes Canada said, that support diabetes research and helps send children with Type 1 diabetes to camp.
These drives also remove more than 100 million pounds of textiles are diverted from landfill annually,” the group said.
