Original story

Both new and seasoned vendors are invited to an open house at the Market location on Elgin Street, across from the Sudbury Community Arena, Wednesday, April 18 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

"This will be a great opportunity to meet with Market, Regional Business Centre, and Public Health staff, and network with other vendors while receiving information and asking questions about the upcoming 2018 Market season," said a news release from the City.

The Thursday Market, launched in 2017 on York Street, will continue in 2018 with new hours of operation: June to early October from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

A total of 12,980 visitors came to the Market over the 34 operating days of the 2017 season, similar to 13,176 visitors over 39 operating days in 2016.

In addition, the 2017 efforts resulted in a total of 76 vendors for the season, an increase over the 49 vendors who participated in 2016. Out of the 76 vendors who participated, 30 of these were returning vendors, most of whom were seasonal participants.
