Donors needed

The push is on for Canadian Blood Services (CBS) to reach its goal of 8,500 units of blood donated from across northeastern Ontario. CBS set the goal in May and the stretch drive begins Monday and continues over the next two weeks.

More donors are needed to come forward to ensure the goal is reached.

Sudbury residents can roll up their sleeves along with members from local first-response teams from Greater Sudbury Police, Sudbury Fire Department, EMS, the Ministry of Natural Resources and RCMP during the second annual Sirens For Life campaign, which begins Monday.

Regular and new donors can donate during regular clinic hours at 235 Cedar St. Monday and Tuesday between 3:30 and 7 pm, Wednesday between 3 and 6 pm, Thursday between 9 am and 12:30 pm and Friday between 10 am and 1 pm.
