Celebrate the start of summer festival season with a downtown party on June 2.

“...Savor delectable delights on downtown patios. Northern Lights Festival Boreal, Up Here, and River & Sky have united to curate an extraordinary experience at Downtown's patios,” Downtown Sudbury BIA said in a May 31 press release.

The event is held June 2 across the downtown core. Two different patios will offer a live musical performance every hour between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. “culminating in an electrifying performance on the main stage in front of the iconic Y on Durham at 8 p.m. We invite everyone to join us for a night of community, specials, and nonstop fun!”

The party kicks off at 5 p.m. with the Moonlight Buskers playing at Peppi Panini and Heatstroke on stage at 84 Station.

At 6 p.m., the party moves to the Laughing Buddha for a performance by Harvey King & The Grindstone, and to Wander Food & Wine, where Júlio Falçao will treat the crowd to some soulful sounds.

Then at 7 p.m., Annie Q takes the stage at La Fromagerie, while the Good Vibes keep the party going at The Alibi Room.

These performances lead up to an 8 p.m. show at the YMCA on Durham Street when Tessa & Petr Balaz Band take the stage. At 8:30 p.m., PA.II & Nyama Nyama Sound take the stage for yet another live show.

And finally at 9 p.m., Omega Mighty hits the stage to close out the evening.
