Cancellation of two school bus routes this morning resulted from the drivers potentially being exposed to COVID-19. The drivers are no self-isolating.

Sudbury Student Services Consortium announced the cancellations this morning citing a driver shortage. Once contacted by Sudbury.com, the consortium clarified that the shortage was as a result of the possible exposure that forced the drivers to isolate.

The announcement of a driver shortage caused confusion because parents with Rainbow District School Board were reporting that the board stated the cancellations were related to the possible exposure to COVID-19 on two bus routes linked to Lansdowne Public School, which turned out to be the case.

Affected routes are as follows are numbered L011 and L118.

All elementary and secondary schools on these routes are affected. Schools remain open. A reminder that the a.m portion of bus Route L800 is cancelled until and including Jan 29.
