As more cyclists and vehicles take to the road during the summer months, the ongoing discussion of bicycle lanes versus vehicle lanes heats up.
Cyclists have lined up on one side of the debate, and drivers have lined up on the other. And as both sides fight for their share of the road, Greater Sudbury Police says drivers and riders alike both have a right to use city roads — patience from all sides is key, bike cop Const. Hally Wilmott told NorthernLife.ca this week.
In order to ease confusion and frustration, police have cleared up those rules of the road.
The GSP is hoping that through education and reminders, drivers and cyclists can share the road, and both practise safe riding and driving this summer.
