École Notre-Dame students, staff and families once again displayed a great deal of generosity and solidarity.

On Oct. 6, as part of a school rally, Hanmer’s École Notre-Dame presented a $300 donation to Maison Vale Hospice as well as a $300 donation to a family from the school that is dealing with a tragedy.

During this rally, the school distributed to students apples that had been blessed by Father Constantin of the St. Jacques Parish in Hanmer.

These funds were raised by École Notre-Dame through a school community barbecue supper which united students, staff and families on Sept. 22.

Students had the opportunity to offer their parents a guided tour of their school and present them to their teachers.

Staff members were highly involved in the organization of the meal. The Knights of Columbus also helped out during the barbecue.
