Environment Canada issues extreme cold warning for the region

Environment Canada has issued an extreme cold warning for Greater Sudbury and area, Temiskaming Shores, and North Bay and West Nipissing.

Tonight through Wednesday morning, temperatures are expected to fall to between -30 and -35, with a wind chill pushing making it feel more like -40.

There is a risk of frostbite for anyone out in those temperatures, especially young children, older adults, people with chronic illnesses, people working or exercising outdoors, and those without proper shelter.
