Sudbury.com is recognizing food services assistant Cory Walsh who works at St. Joseph's Villa as today's Essential Worker of the Day.

His mom Mary-Anne Walsh wants Cory to know how proud she is.

"Cory was offered this position just a few short days prior to COVID-19," Mary-Anne said. "Cory looks forward to heading to work every single day were he can be a great help to the patients of St. Joseph’s Villa and ensuring they get their meals on time."

"He is dedicated and committed to helping and serving these very vulnerable sweet patients."

"When COVID broke out in the Villa, Cory said to me 'Mom, they need me more than ever'."

"Cory has a huge heart and even bigger when it comes to helping those in need whether it be at the Villa or as a personal trainer."
