Sudbury.com is recognizing Jennifer Hamilton as today's Essential Worker of the Day.
Hamilton is a full-time paramedic who also works at two COVID-19 testing assessment centers, one in Sudbury and one on Manitoulin Island.
She was nominated by her daughter Oliviah.
"She risks her health and well-being every day to provide quality care for our community," Oliviah said.
"She is incredibly passionate about her job and goes to work every day with such a positive attitude despite the current pandemic.
"I want her to know she is appreciated and recognized as a front-line and essential worker."
