Sudbury.com is recognizing developmental services worker (DSW) Sophie Henri as today's Essential Worker of the Day.

Henri became a DSW in honour of her late mother, Anne Henri, who was a registered nurse at NEO Kids.

"Sophie is so much like her late mother, kind and compassionate, and in my opinion, absolutely inspiring," Kelsey McLeod said.

"Sophie goes into work every day with love and patience in her heart to make sure each and every client is given care in the kindest way possible."

"The work Sophie does as a DSW is beyond difficult, yet she makes it look effortless and I never hear her complain or speak negatively about her career."

I truly believe Sophie deserves recognition for all her work as a DSW and frontline worker, she is an amazing woman and I am privileged to call her my best friend."

Do you know an essential worker who deserves to be recognized? Say thanks to someone you know who is a front-line health care worker, cashier or truck driver by nominating them for Sudbury.com's Essential Worker of the Day.
