Downtown Sudbury Art Crawl

Downtown Sudbury Art Crawl (DSAC) has united with local artists & businesses to offer the public an unique opportunity to explore and purchase art through window-front displays and online auctions. 

Downtown businesses will be displaying local artists work during the month of July. Check the list of participating businesses here or follow DSAC on Facebook. sudburyartcrawl.com

Virtual concert presented by NLFB
July 9

Northern Lights Festival Boréal (NLFB) will be proudly presenting Céleste Lévis, Kevin Closs and Barry Miles on July 9.

Cultural Industries Ontario North (CION) has launched a new online venue called "The Lounge" aimed at delivering virtual concerts featuring Northern Ontario artists. 

CION has partnered with northern Ontario music festivals that have had to cancel their summer festivals due to COVID-19 restrictions. 

A series of Thursday nights will feature multiple artists that represent these cancelled festivals in different ways.

Are you safe? Safety planning session webinar
July 10

Learn what to do when you are ready to leave an abusive or unhealthy relationship. 

In partnership with Sudbury & Area Victim Services and Zaagidwin Counselling and Consulting, the Looking Ahead to Build the Spirit of Our Women – Learning to Live Free from Violence project invites you to a safety planning session on July 10 from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Lisa Osawamick, MSW/RSW at Zaagidwin Counselling Consulting and Nicole St-Jean, Crisis Response Coordinator at Sudbury & Area Victim Services, will provide tips and guidance on how to safely exit an abusive/unhealthy relationship and will provide resources available to survivors of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV).

Car wash fundraiser
July 11

The car wash will take place at Larry's Service Centre located at 1111 Notre Dame Ave. on July 11 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

All profits will go to Le chemin de la lumière/Inzira y'Urumuri towards building additional classes for Saint Abel primary school in Rwanda.

Take-out blueberry pancake brunch
July 12

Lockerby Legion Branch 564 is celebrating everything blueberry. Each brunch includes three blueberry pancakes and two sausages. Pre-order July 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., pick-up July 12 between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This is a take-out only meal. $5 per person. Phone 705-522-6060 to place your order. This is a takeout-only event.
