Blue is Beautiful photo contest
accepting submissions until September 1

While there are no scheduled in-person events for the Sudbury Blueberry Festival 2020, you can take part in the Blue is Beautiful contest.

Put on in partnership with the Sudbury Arts Council, people are invited to submit work celebrating the colour blue. A variety of mediums are being accepted, including paintings, photos, music, poetry and crafts.

The Blue is Beautiful contest is accepting submissions until Sept. 1, and must include a blue colour or blueberry element.  Entries can be paintings, photography, stories, poems, songs or recipes. 

Submissions should be sent to [email protected] and include  age group, phone and home address. Prizes will be awarded in each category in October.

Trivia Night

Nickel City Trivia is hosting "The Quarantine Quiz" every Tuesday night at 8 p.m. Watch for it on Facebook.

Mountain bike group rides
August 9

Organized by the Walden Mountain Bike Club. Weekly ride location will be posted before the event.
Hosting group rides during a pandemic provides challenges. Details of the ride guidelines are available here.

Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer annual general meeting
August 10

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer (NOFCC) will hold its annual general meeting via Zoom on Aug. 10.
