The line-up of fun and entertaining western-themed events started this weekend but there?s still lots of exciting activities to enjoy until the celebration ends June 22.

Today, treat dad to a car wash at Leroux Auto Parts from 10 am?4 pm. Or better yet, sign him up for the Father?s Day golf tournament at Colonial Golf Course, which runs from 11 am to 5 pm.

If that?s not enough excitement for one day, there?s also the Mud Bogs and Demolition Derby in the Northland Field from 1 to 6 pm.

During the week, there are special activities in the Place Bonaventure Mall, billiard tournaments, bingo, barbecues, dart tournaments, comedy night, and of course, horse racing and slots at Sudbury Downs and Racetrack Slots.

The action really kicks off next weekend with country tribute bands at the Chelmsford arena, ball tournaments, children?s activities, parades, live auction, car shows, western dance with Toe Jam Tequila, beer tents and much more.

Friday, June 20, enjoy the Country Tribute from 9 pm to 1 am at the arena. There?s a teen dance upstairs starting at 8 pm.

For more information, watch for the full program of events for Western Days 2003 running in this newspaper.
