During its last meeting, Laurentian University?s board of governors approved the appointment of Anne-Marie Mawhiney as dean of the faculty of professional schools. The appointment is for a five-year period starting July 1.
Mawhiney, a full professor in the school of social work, has taught at Laurentian since 1980. She has published numerous books and chapters on the First Nations and native human services.
