Falconbridge apartment building fire causes $210K in damage

A fire at a two-storey apartment building on Copper Street in the community of Falconbridge last night caused about $210,000 in damage.

A press release from Greater Sudbury Fire Services said the call came in just before 11 p.m. June 15. Two units of the building were affected in the fire, which caused severe smoke and fire damage.

One person was evacuated from the building, and one person was displaced as a result of the blaze.

Twenty-two firefighters from three fire stations responded to the call.
