If you’ve got a grad heading to the stage this year and want them to look their best - even though you may not have the funds, check out Closet Share’s Graduation Celebration, happening this Saturday, May 10.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Closet Share warehouse, located at 162 MacKenzie Street and will “celebrate local grads in style with a full day of love, laughter, and free graduation outfits,” said a release from the community organization.
For the entire day you can shop for free grad outfits, including jewelry, and even take part in some “Say Yes to the Dress or Suit” moment, said the release.
There will be seamstresses on-site for alterations (Stacey Plouffe & Louise Bergeron), and boutonnières & corsages (by Tammy North) for grads as well as Tier 2 clothing for sale. You’ll also find coffee and cupcakes (from Lee Ann Ducharme & Roxanne Lamothe) and a chance to win a door prize of a YMCA gym membership.
The event will feature remarks from both City of Greater Sudbury Mayor Paul Lefevbre and Sudbury MPP Jamie West and Ward 9 Coun. Deb McIntosh.
