Cambrian College is opening its doors to students, parents, teachers, employers, and anyone who wants to experience what Cambrian has to offer.

It's Fall Open House takes place Nov. 9 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

“I look forward to our Fall Open House every year; it’s one of my favorite days,” says Renee Scott, Cambrian’s director of recruitment and student success.

“It’s so exciting to see people get that first taste of life here on campus. Many students have told us that after they visited us on campus, they made the decision to come because we made them feel so at home.”

Faculty, students, staff, alumni, and volunteers will be on hand to provide visitors with information about programs and services and the many career-building opportunities that Cambrian offers.

Open House also features guided campus and residence tours, door prizes, entertainment, food, and games.

Cambrian will pay the $95 application fee for anyone who comes to Open House and applies on the spot for one of the 36 programs starting in January.

Students who have already been accepted for classes this January are asked to bring the special Golden Ticket from their admissions package and redeem it for a gift.

Fall Open House also features a number of other special events:

  • Cambrian’s annual Teddy Bear Picnic Auction: Watch students from Police Foundations, Child and Youth Care, and Early Childhood Education programs in action at this event they have organized in support of the Canadian Cancer Society’s pediatric/childhood cancer research. The auction includes children’s activities, face painting, and prizes.
  • Music Audition Clinic: Are you a future music student? Join the college to hone your audition skills before the post-secondary audition season starts, and receive one-on-one coaching from our Music faculty.
  • Portfolio Reviews: Talk to faculty to gain information about all programs in the college's School of Creative Arts and Design and have your portfolio reviewed.
