Dupuis? body was pulled out of his charred apartment after responding to the 3:30 am call Feb. 14.

He was pronounced dead at St. Joseph?s Health Centre.

Other residents of the two-storey, eight-unit building were safely evacuated.

No one else was injured as the fire was contained within Dupuis? apartment.

Greater Sudbury Fire Services officials indicated there was ?good structural burns? to the kitchen stove area of the apartment.

Fife fighters arrived just in time, he said, because the fire had just started licking into the attic.

Had the fire spread to the attic, it would have spread across the roof in no time.

Visitations for Dupuis will be held at Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home Tuesday from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm.

A funeral mass will be held Wednesday at 10:30 am at St. Jean de Brebeuf Church on Notre Dame.
