Volunteer Sudbury and Independent Living Sudbury Manitoulin are hosting an information barbecue July 21.

The two groups invite the whole community to come out and learn about the many services and programs the two organizations offer while enjoying a meal.

The event takes place 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Independent Living Sudbury Manitoulin's headquarters at 125 Durham St.

The barbecue is free for the first 200 people, and $2 a plate thereafter (limited quantities). The meal includes the option of a hot dog or corn and veggies.

There will be booths set up containing information of the programs/services both organizations offer and how they can benefit members of the community.

There will be kids activities including colouring and a movie, along with the chance to win a fantastic door prize donated by downtown businesses Peppi Panini, Taco Sol and the Candy Store.
