This morning's weather conditions not only forced the cancellation of school buses in Greater Sudbury, Espanola and Massey, it also forced the closures of numerous northern highways.
Highway 556 near Searchmont in the northwest is closed between Highways 129 and 532, with no detour available, due to the deteriorating conditions.
In the northeast up around Cochrane, a long list of roads were closed this morning. However, Highways 574, 634, 636, 668, 579, 652, 7036 and 7037 have been re-opened.
