The Ministry of Natural Resources said the French River area is experiencing increased flows and water levels. Caution is advised.

In the French River area, the potential exists for flooding in low-lying areas. Residents may wish to take necessary action to secure or protect property in flood-prone or vulnerable areas.

The MNR is closely monitoring the weather and developing watershed conditions. Further updates will be issued as appropriate.

In Sudbury, the MNR said the flood outlook remains in effect for residents in Sudbury, Markstay-Warren, Wanup. St. Charles, Espanola and areas of the North Shore.

The key watersheds included in this statement are the Aux Sables River, Spanish River, Wanapitei River, Veuve River and Vermillion River.

Residents in these areas should keep a close watch on conditions, regularly check for updated messages and stay away from fast-moving rivers and streams.

The MNR is closely monitoring the weather and developing watershed conditions.
