The funeral for Nicole Belair, 33, will be held May 19.
Belair, a child protection worker with the Children's Aid Society, died Tuesday from injuries she sustained in an apartment fire on Monday.
Belair is survived by her finacé, “best friend and soul mate,” Stephen Davidson, according to her obituary.
On NorthernLife.ca, Davidson posted a comment under the story about Belair's death.
“Words cannot describe the loss,” he wrote. “She was the best thing that ever happened to me. I love you Nicole... Steve.”
She is also survived by parents Gilbert and Lorna Belair and brothers Marc and Adam Belair.
“Nicole loved life and lived it to the fullest,” her obit said. “She will be remembered as an active person who dedicated her life to helping others.”
Belair's wake will be held at Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St. from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on May 18 and after 10 a.m. on May 19.
The funeral takes place at the St. Andrew's United Church, 111 Larch St. on May 19 at 11:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sudbury-Manitoulin Children’s Foundation would be appreciated.
