Future city councillors? Mayor visits Valley school

Students and staff at École Jean-Paul II in Val Caron met some of their friendly local municipal politicians Oct. 28.

Mayor Brian Bigger and Ward 5 Coun. Robert Kirwan paid the school a visit.

“During their guided tour of the school, which included stops in all classrooms from kindergarten to Grade 8 as well as the daycare, Mr. Bigger and Mr. Kirwan discovered an impressive school community whose members are devoted to their students and engaged in their community,” a press release said.

“École Jean-Paul II is the first French-language school in Greater Sudbury to be visited by Mayor Bigger.”
