Gas prices rise in Sudbury, North Bay

Despite higher world crude oil and domestic wholesale prices, the Ontario average retail price of regular unleaded gasoline declined by 2.3 cents to 120.6 cents a litre, a nine-month low, according to Ontario weekly gasoline prices report, issued Nov. 15.

Prices fell 7.4 cents in Thunder Bay (to a nine-month low), 3.0 cents in London and Toronto (both to a nine-month low), 2.3 cents in Ottawa (to a nine-month low), and 0.2 cents in Sault Ste. Marie.

Prices rose by 3.9 cents in Sudbury and North Bay, 3.2 cents in Timmins (from an eight-month low), and 2.0 cents in Windsor.

The average price gap between northern and southern Ontario widened from 5.3 cents to 7.6 cents.

The Ontario average retail diesel price increased for the sixth straight week, by 3.2 cents to 130.4 cents, its highest level since August 2008.

The Canadian average retail gasoline price declined by 1.7 cents to 123.0 cents, while the average retail diesel price increased by 1.4 cents to 132.7 cents, its highest level since September, 2008.
