An average Friday morning turned into something special for Angels in Pink last week.
Gateway Casinos and Entertainment, which will be building Greater Sudbury’s new casino to be located on the True North Strong site on The Kingsway, turned up at the Angels in Pink office at the Northern Cancer Foundation on Friday morning carrying a massive cheque for $5,000.
It was a big surprise for Angels in Pink founder Annette Cressy, who wasn’t expecting either the donation or the visit from Gateway.
The $5,000 donation is part of Gateway’s GatewayGIVES initiative 25 Days of Giving, to honour the casino company’s 25 years in business.
Angels in Pink raises money to help fund the early diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.
