A group of motorcyclists and classic car enthusiasts will take their machines for a spin around Sudbury on June 14 for the 14th annual Prostate Cancer Rally for Dad.

The event will raise funds for prostate cancer treatment and research at the Northern Cancer Foundation.

More than 200 motorcycles and classic cars are expected to participate in the event, which will start at the Northeast Cancer Centre parking lot at 10:30 a.m.

Participants have aimed to raise $45,000 in pledges this year, and will receive help from Sudbury's A&W restaurants, which will donate $1 from every meal sold on the day of the event.

Spectators are invited to come down to the Bell Park parking lot on Paris St. shortly before 10:30 a.m. to cheer on the participants.

The event will also include musical entertainment, award presentations, prize giveaways and a free A&W lunch at the Silver Hills location.

Since inception the Prostate Cancer Rally for Dad has raised more than $350,000 for local prostate cancer care.
