Members of the public are invited to the Good Green Town Hall for mayoral candidates, taking place Sept. 26 from 7-9 p.m. at St. Andrews Place, 111 Larch St.

Sudbury.com will carry the event live on our website. It's being organized by Coalition for a Liveable Sudbury, reThink Green, Citizens Climate Lobby Canada, Climate Reality, and Social Planning Council of Sudbury.

“Meet the candidates, hear what they have to say, and ask your questions,” says a news release. “This is your chance to hear what candidates have to say and ask your questions about the issues that matter to you.

“What actions do candidates plan to take to improve walking and biking infrastructure, make public transit a better option, protect our lakes, address climate change, and engage the community? Come find out.”

You can ask questions ahead of time on the Facebook event page, or e-mail to [email protected].

At the event, you will also find candidate survey replies, dates and times for other election events, and information on local organizations. Light refreshments and a door prize will be available.

“We are excited to provide this forum for voters to hear from mayoral candidates and put their questions directly to them” Naomi Grant, chair of the Coalition for a Liveable Sudbury, is quoted as saying in the release.
