Here are some stories to start your day.

Telus Cup starts today:

Beginning today, Greater Sudbury will play host to Canada's National Midget AAA hockey championship. Over the course of 19 games scheduled at Sudbury Arena, Pacific, West, Central, Quebec and Atlantic regional champions will vie for the national Telus Cup title. Sudbury's own Nickel Capitals Wolves not only host the tournament but will also be battling it out for the Telus Cup crown. In the run-up to the April 23 event, Sudbury.com featured some of the local players who will be representing the Nickel City at the national event.  You will be able to find all the videos on Sudbury.com's YouTube channel.

Beers get crafty at the Northern Ontario Microbrew Festival:

When the Northern Ontario Microbrew Festival launched four years ago, the organizers could not fathom the response they had received. This weekend, Sudbury beer enthusiasts had a chance to once again sample craft beers as they enjoyed live performances at the popular Sudbury event. Sudbury.com will live stream Northern Lights Festival lineup reveal:

Northern Lights Festival Boréal will be releasing the full lineup Tuesday morning at 10 a.m., and Sudbury.com plans to livestream the event so you can find out all of the exciting details as they're revealed. The annual Sudbury folk music festival, which runs July 5-8 in Bell Park, has already released some of its lineup, including Saturday headliner Alvvays, the Juno nominated Cree/Dene artist Iskwé, folk legend Connie Caldor, “folk trash” Friday headliner Lisa LeBlanc and more. Something big is happening at Science North:
Mark your calendars. Science North's Board of Trustee Scott Lund and Guy Labine, chief executive officer have announced that something big is happening at Science North on April 25. Science North is gearing up to make a  historic announcement in the presence of Sudbury MPP and Minister of Energy,  Glenn Thibeault on Wednesday. City receives more than $500k from OLG:

The city of Greater Sudbury received a non-tax gaming revenue payment of $527,185 from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) on April 20.This is the fourth-quarter (January to March 2018) non-tax gaming revenue payment for hosting Gateway Casinos. Sudbury's Walk for Alzheimer’s event is June 3

The annual Walk for Alzheimer’s event takes place in Sudbury June 3. The event begins at 11 a.m. at the Alzheimer Society office, located at 960B Notre Dame Ave. Find out more about how to register here
