Recognized for the quality of its music program, École Jean-Paul II (Val Caron) was recently informed that it would receive a grant valued at $6,000 from MusiCounts Band Aid Program.

It is one of 95 schools across the country to benefit from this support from Canada’s music education charity.

This sum will enable École Jean-Paul II to strengthen its music program by acquiring instruments, equipment and musical resources.

Students will be able to continue to discover their individual musical interests and develop their talents.

“Hundreds of Jean-Paul II students have benefited from the excellence of our music program,” said André Paquette, École Jean-Paul II Principal, in a press release.

“In addition to discovering a passion for music, they were able to gain confidence through their participation in shows, concerts and high-level artistic productions.

“Our music teacher Ms. Mijanou Gaboury-Fantin will put this support to good use by sharing her musical passion with a new generation of young musicians. "
