Greater Sudbury road work update

Here's a look at some of the construction work being done around the city: Frood Rd.: Intermittent lane closures will reduce Frood Rd. to one lane approximately 200 metres south of Kathleen St, from now until Dec. 6, between 9 am and 3:30 pm.

Frood Rd.: Intermittent lane closures will reduce Frood Rd. to one lane approximately 200 metres south of Kathleen St, from now until Dec. 6, between 9 am and 3:30 pm.

Pedestrians are asked to follow marked access through the construction site. The project will repair a CN Rail bridge.

Hwy 69 North: Construction on Hwy 69 North, between Valleyview Rd. and St. Jean St., will end for the year on Dec. 9. The Highway 69 road widening project will continue next spring. Installation of a watermain on Valleyview Rd. will also be complete Dec. 9.

Latimer Cres.: Installation of a new watermain on Latimer Cres. will be complete by Dec. 9, weather permitting. Traffic is reduced to one lane between Loach's Rd. and Montel St. during the day. Regular traffic patterns are restored each evening.

Capreol Ski Hill Rd.: A slight road realignment will take place due to the replacement of the Capreol Ski Hill Bridge. Work will continue to the end of December.

Kingsway and Falconbridge Rd.: Rock removal is underway east of the Kingsway and Falconbridge Rd. intersection in preparation for next year's road widening project on Highway 17 East. Traffic delays are expected due to lane reductions and restrictions. Rock removal will continue into January.

Garson-Coniston Hwy: Rehabilitation of the Coniston Creek Bridge is complete.
