In a little more than a week, Greyhound Canada and Ontario Northland are going to be roommates.

Come June 26, Greyhound is relocating from its terminal on Notre Dame Avenue to share space at the Ontario Northland depot on The Kingsway.

In a news release, David Butler, the regional vice-president for Greyhound Canada, said the company is “excited” by the news.

“Customers will continue to receive safe, reliable and affordable service from our new location,” Butler said.

Greyhound offers 32 weekly schedules to destinations including Ottawa, Toronto and western Canada, where customers can connect to an extensive network of 3,800 destinations across America.

The new location also provides Greyhound Package Express, Greyhound’s package shipping service. For fare and schedule information and to buy tickets, call 1-800-661-8747 or visit the Greyhound website.

For its part, Ontario Northland said it welcomes its new roommate.

“Having one location for motor coach service will be convenient to travelers who connect between our two carriers” said Tracy MacPhee, passenger operations director with Ontario Northland.

Ontario Northland has 28 weekly departures, seven days a week from Sudbury to destinations including Timmins, Cochrane, North Bay, Ottawa and Toronto.
