The infant passed away at Health Sciences North Oct. 31.

The couple presented the HSN Family and Child Program with a letter and plaque. They also donated $1,000 in the baby's memory to the Pediatrics Unit.

“As we begin our journey of healing, we are touched by all these memories made possible by the caring nature of our local heroes at the Health Sciences North,” Angèle and Gus Gionest wrote in their letter.”

“Words cannot express how much they all have given us comfort in these trying times. Thank you infinitely.”

“The Gionest family has touched our hearts in a way that can not be fully expressed,” said Jim Corless, chair of the Health Sciences North Foundation.

“We will honour Théa and her family by adding her name to our memory wall in our main lobby of the Ramsey Lake Health Centre.”
