Less than a year after opening their doors, Guilty Pleasures Bakeshop has been selected as a 2019 winner of The Knot Best of Weddings award.

That's an accolade representing the highest, and most-rated, wedding professionals as reviewed by real couples, their families and wedding guests on The Knot, a leading wedding planning brand and app.

“As a new, young entrepreneur, I am constantly being reminded of how grateful I am to have a community who supports us by shopping local,” said Justine Martin, Guilty Pleasures owner.

“I want to thank the over 50 amazing couples who not only allowed us to be part of their very special day, but who also helped us by sharing their great experiences with others on The Knot.

“To be recognized in such a capacity after less than a year in business is both incredibly humbling and encouraging.”

In 2019, only four percent of hundreds of thousands of local wedding professionals listed on The Knot received this distinguished award. In its 13th annual year,

The Knot continues its longstanding tradition of supporting local wedding vendors with The Knot Best of Weddings 2019, an annual by-couples, for-couples guide to the top wedding professionals across North America.

To determine the winners, The Knot analyzed its millions of user reviews across various vendor categories, including bakeries, venues, musicians, florists, photographers, caterers and more, to find the best and most rated vendors of the year.

These winners represent the best of the best wedding professionals that a couple should consider booking for their own unique wedding. The Knot Best of Weddings gives couples the confidence to find and book the best local vendors to bring their unique wedding visions to life.

Justine Martin started For Heaven’s Bake Sudbury in 2015 from her home kitchen. After two years of perfecting her processes, developing custom recipes, honing her skills and building a strong and loyal customer base, she opened Guilty Pleasures Bakeshop, at 82 Cedar St. Downtown, in February 2018.

Martin was named Downtown Sudbury’s Win This Space Top Entrepreneur in 2017 and was recognized as Sudbury Chamber of Commerce’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2018.
