The Greater Sudbury Police Service and the Fire Marshall’s Office continue to investigate the fatal fire which occurred on Dominion Dr. on March 29.

The blaze claimed the life of Ray MacDonald, 46, Truro, Nova Scotia.  The other three tenants of the lower apartment were also from the East coast.

One of the victims remains in hospital in Toronto with severe burns.

Samples have been obtained and sent for testing, though at this time the fire does not appear to be suspicious. Toxicology results may not be available for six to eight weeks.

The scene has been released to the owners.

Four men who worked on the same construction project not far from this residence shared a downstairs unit, while a couple and their child, who lived upstairs, managed to escape without any injuries, say police.
