Happy World Kindness Day, Greater Sudbury!

Happy World Kindness Day, Greater Sudbury!

In the spirit of sharing, we would like to hear from our readers: What's the kindest thing anyone has done for you?

We know from the nominations that come in for our Acts of Kindness series that Sudburians are known to show they care in a variety of ways - whether that's greeting children with a smile at Holy Cross Public School, shovelling driveways for in your neighbourhood, or going above and beyond as a volunteer, good-hearted residents of the Nickel City deserve to be celebrated.

Today, we'd like to help our readers give thanks in two ways. First, send us an email to [email protected] or let us know in the comments, what is the kindest thing anyone has done for you?

Those who respond by email, on Facebook or Twitter or below will be randomly selected to receive three pairs of tickets to the Greater Sudbury Symphony Orchestra's Family Matinee, sponsored by Sudbury Living Magazine. Winners will be picked on the afternoon of Nov. 14 — so don't delay!

The Sudbury Symphony Orchestra Family Matinee happens at the Fraser Auditorium (935 Ramsey Lake Road) at 2 p.m. on Dec. 1, with family events happening at 1 p.m. You may wish to pass these tickets on to the person or people that have been kind!

Secondly, we're taking nominations for our annual 12 Days of Kindness holiday series. Each workday beginning Dec. 6, we will bring you stories of compassion, heartache and hope as our video team surprises deserving Sudburians by lending a hand, lightening a burden or making a special Christmas wish come true. Go to Sudbury.com/AOK to send your nomination.
