A report outlining the condition of health care workers in Ontario will be released at a media conference at USWA Local 6500 on Frood Rd. tomorrow, calling on the government to strengthen the public health care system.
The report, Understaffed and Under Pressure: a reality check by Ontario Health care workers, was compiled by the Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL) and examines the poor working conditions of health care workers in nearly every sector.
Earlier this year, the OFL went on a fact finding tour of 15 cities across the province speaking with health care, emergency care, long term care, and nursing homes workers along with mental and public health officials.
