Students studying in health care disciplines are invited to submit applications for the NOSM (Northern Ontario School of Medicine) Summer Studentship program. Applications will be open February 1 to 15, 2022.
NOSM's summer student program was established by Ontario's Ministry of Health and Long Term Care to allow health-care students with the opportunity to gain work experience in their field of study, said a NOSM news release.
Students in eligible health-care professions include those in medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, pharmacy, dietetics, medical lab and radiation technologists, among others, said the release. Application forms are online at the NOSM website.
Before applying, students are encouraged to review the program FAQs and all eligibility requirements, said NOSM. Successful applicants will be matched to health-care agencies. NOSM may request additional information from applicants after the application period closes. The selection of candidates, job duties, rate of pay, and duration of the employment contract is determined by the employing agency. For additional information, or to submit a question, applicants are invited to visit nosm.ca/summerstudentship.
