HGTV host visiting town

A popular Home and Garden Television network show host will be catering to the crafty at the Keepsakes Craft Show at the Exhibition Centre Saturday.

A popular Home and Garden Television network show host will be catering to the crafty at the Keepsakes Craft Show at the Exhibition Centre Saturday.

Creative Decor and Craftscapes host Sue Warden, who jokingly calls herself ?the Martha Stewart of the north? will be giving two demonstrations between 2:30 and 4:30 pm.

Her first demonstration will feature floral design and ways to introduce flowers into all areas of the home. The second demonstration will concentrate on creating beautiful decoupage serving trays.

Sudburians are very crafty people, said Warden, which explains the popularity of craft shows in this area.

?You?re getting a Micheal?s up there. They always do research before they go into an area. If a Micheal?s is setting up in an area, you know you have a lot of people interested in do-it-yourself and craft,? she said.

Warden said her shows are extremely popular among HGTV viewers. Creative Decor combines do-it-yourself projects with home decor. Viewers can learn how to fix holes in the wall and make their own carpets. Craftscapes features craft projects that can be easily done in viewers? own homes, said Warden.
