Home builder’s president back for another term

Marc G. Levasseur, owner of MGL Drafting & Consulting, has accepted a second term as president of the Sudbury and District Home Builders’ Association.

“The board and I are excited about the coming year and the opportunity to complete and further our goals,” Levasseur said in a press release. “We have broadened our goals in advocacy, awareness and recruitment. I invite all companies in the residential construction industry to get involved with the association. Together we can increase professionalism and consumer confidence in our industry.”

To kick off the new term, the association will host an information night Feb. 5 at Respect is Burning Supper Club in downtown Sudbury.

The board of directors for 2013 includes a range of builders, renovators, suppliers and professional services. The association has been an advocate for the local residential construction industry since 1959.

In addition to Levasseur, Phil Monkhouse of Monkhouse Homes is first vice-present; Michael Giles of Convoy supply is second vice-president; Chris Jollineau of Fisher Wavy is treasurer; and Joanne Caoutte of Lifestyle Homes Ltd. is past president.
