The Sudbury Regional Hospital (HRSRH) board of directors is launching its annual recruitment campaign in the search of new directors. The HRSRH is currently seeking an aboriginal representative and a director with legal skills and expertise.
As part of its recruitment drive, the HRSRH will be placing
ads in all daily newspapers across northeastern Ontario, as
well as aboriginal media outlets. The hospital will also issue
news releases and public service announcements, as well as
implementing some web-based promotion.

"Hospitals are among the most important of public institutions,
touching everyone in a community, and so we all have a stake in
the manner in which they are governed," explained HRSRH board
chair, Carol Hartman, in a release.
"Being a member of the hospital's Board of Directors presents an opportunity to be a voice for the community the hospital serves, playing an important role in decisions that affect people from across northeastern Ontario."
There are a total of 12 elected members on the HRSRH Board of Directors. Members must reflect the geographic, cultural, ethnic and linguistic characteristics of northeastern Ontario. Guidelines for the selection of Directors specify the range of professional skill and expertise required for the voluntary position.
For further information or to receive an application form, visit the HRSRH website at www.hrsrh.on.ca , or contact board liaison officer Brigitte Sobush at 523-7114. Deadline for submissions is April 20.
